Research on steering control performance of electric forklift with steer by wire

Forklift plays an important role in cargo handling the warehouse; therefore, it is necessary to ensure stability of forklift when turning guarantee safety transportation. In this study, particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was improved by a genetic (GA), and parameters proportion, integration, differentiation (PID) controller were calculated using for steering control. Then simulation experiments carried out MATLAB. The results showed that convergence speed PSO faster than GA, its adaptive value after significantly lower algorithm; whether low-speed or high-speed steering, three algorithms responded signal quickly; yaw velocity sideslip angle under more suitable stable increase would velocity. novelty paper traditional GA jumps locally optimal solution through crossover mutation operations.
